The same bell strike occurs at master time 17:00 and café-till time 16:58. Both clocks advance at the same rate. They are not adjusted that afternoon.

Trains leave on master time at 17:10 and 17:20. The café is a minimum five-minute walk from the platform. Each witness personally pays before leaving the café.
